DAY 1: USA / ATHENS Leave the USA on your transatlantic overnight flight to Athens Greece. Dinner and breakfast served on board.
DAY 2: ARRIVAL / ATHENS Arrival at Athens airport and transfer to the center of Athens, the capital of Greece, birthplace of democracy and philosophy. Check in your hotel, dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: ATHENS / CRUISE TO MYKONOS After breakfast, hotel check out and transfer to Piraeus port for embarkation on Louis Majesty sailing at 11.00hrs to Mykonos (18.00 – 23.00hrs). Time at leisure on the beloved island of the international “Jet-Setters” for its whitewashed cubic houses, windmills and chapels, the wonderful sandy beaches, shops, galleries and the incredible night life. Explore the towns’ winding narrow streets or enjoy a drink at little Venice. Lunch ,dinner and overnight on board. B, L, D
DAY 3 : CRUISE TO EPHESUS (KUSADASI, TURKEY) & PATMOS Arrive at the port of Kusadasi (07:00hrs) on the Turkish coast were you can take an optional excursion to the Ancient city of Ephesus or stroll around at the city of Kusadasi and its port. Ship sets sail at noon(12:00hrs) for the Island of Patmos (16.00-21.00hrs), the Holy Island where Saint John the Divine wrote the book of Revelations. You have the chance to join an optional visit to St’ John Monastery & Grotto of Apocalypse – breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight on board. B, L, D
DAY 4 : CRUISE TO CRETE (HERAKLION) & SANTORINI This morning visit the island of Crete. Participating in the optional excursion, you can visit the Palace of Knossos and its famous ‘’ Labyrinth’’ which was the centre of the Minoan civilization… incredible! At 16:30hrs call at Santorini, the volcanic island of the Cyclades. Admire the spectacular caldera, created by the eruption of the close by islet’s volcano in the ancient times and the white washed houses perched on the edge. Explore this cosmopolitan island on your own or take an optional tour and enjoy the breathtaking panorama and the world famous sunset in Oia traditional village. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight on board. B, L, D
DAY 5: PIRAEUS / THESSALONIKI Breakfast on board. Arrival at Piraeus and after disembarkation, depart to Thessaloniki via highway with lunch stop en route (not included). Start tour by viewing the White Tower, an historical landmark before continuing on to visit the Archaeological Museum which houses interesting finds from the Archaic, Classical and Roman periods with findings of Sindos area and a stunning exhibition of golden jewels. Further visit of St. Demetrios Basilica which was erected in the 5th century AD. The five aisled basilica suffered a tragic fire in the year 1917 but was later restored in 1948. Marvel at the beautiful mosaics dating back from the 5th to 9th Centuries. Drive along the modern Egnatia street and view the Arch of Gallerius and St. George’s Rotonda. The tour will end with a short stop at the well preserved Byzantine Basilica of St. Sophia, an 8th Century structure ,rich in mosaics and frescoes. Transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight. DAY 6: PHILIPPI / KAVALA After breakfast depart for full day excursion starting with a tour of the area to view the St. Sylas Monastery named after one of St. Paul’s companions. Proceed to St.Lydia’s Baptistery where the first Christian Lady of Europe was baptized and continue to the Archaeological Site of Philippi, founded by Philip II King of Macedonia. It was here too where St. Paul set foot on Europe during his second missionary journey, establishing a thriving Christian church. The ruins include the Forum Romanum with its Basilica, St. Paul’s Prison and the Theater.The famous road Egnatia, which once ran from Adriatic Seato Constantinople, passed by this city. Lunch at local restaurant included). Continue our drive to Amphipolis and view the Lion Statue. Return toThessaloniki for dinner and overnight at your hotel. B, L, D
DAY 8: KALAMBAKA / ATHENS After breakfast at hotel, depart to visit Meteora, among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless Monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. After lunch at local restaurant (not included), drive to Athens for dinner and overnight at hotel in Athens. B, D
DAY 9: ATHENS SIGHTSEEING Breakfast at hotel and depart to see the centre of the city, the Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, Academy, University, National library, Hadrian’s Arch ,the Temple of Olympian Zeus and photo stop at the Panathenean Stadium where the first Modern Olympic Games in 1896 were held. On Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally the Parthenon “the harmony between material and spirit”, the monument that “puts order in mind”. Then visit Mars Hill and after lunch at local restaurant, drive south west until we reach the Corinth Canal (photo stop). Continue to visit Ancient Corinth where St. Paul lived and preached for two years. The remains of the city, which include the Agora (market place) and Apollo’s Temple (6th century B.C) clearly show how rich and important Corinth was in ancient times. A short stop at the site of the ancient port of Kehries, where St. Paul disembarked, will conclude the visit. Drive back to Athens, dinner at hotel in Athens. B, D
DAY 10: ATHENS DEPARTURE Breakfast at hotel and check out. At indicated time transfer from hotel to the airport for your return flight home. B

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Reservations and Payments: You can book your trip through your travel agent or at (800) 242-4122. Booking can be made online, by email, fax or regular mail. A deposit of $150 per person is required at the time of booking. Full and final payment is required no less than 45 days prior to tour departure. Bookings received less than 45 days prior to departure must be accompanied by full payment. Additional deposit conditions may apply for some special programs including airfares, special interest tours, cruises and group departures which will be advised at time of booking. Payment of a deposit and acceptance of any travel plan shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of all Terms and Conditions. Passenger(s) waive any charge back rights on credit card payments.
Cancellations: Full refund will be made for cancellations received up to 45 days before departure, except for a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations received within less than 45 days will be as follows: (days before departure) 44-22 days, (per person/per tour) 25%; 21-15 days, 35%; 14-7 days, 50%; 6-0 days, 100 %. No refund will be made for cancellations made once the tour or cruise starts, or for non-shows. Other conditions of cancellation may apply for some special programs such as adventure tours, cruises, or group departures which will be advised at time of booking. Above fees are in addition to airline ticket cancellation policies. Ask your travel agent for details. In addition to above cancellations and administrative fees, any charges assessed by the suppliers abroad will be deducted before refund is processed.
Land Refunds: All refund claims must be received by the booking agent in writing within 30 days after the completion of the tour. Requests received after that time will not be accepted. Refunds are made on the basis of actual cost of service not used and not on a per diem basis. Allow 4-6 weeks for refunds. Air refunds subject to the airlines own cancellation policy.
Passports and Visas: A valid passport is required of all passengers for travel to Europe and the Mediterranean. Depending on nationality, a visa may be required. Check with your local consulate for requirements. Passports and visas are the passengers’ responsibility.
Health requirements: Passengers should check with local consulates and health authority for latest health requirements. Check with your physician for recommendations.
Insurance: Altura Tours Inc. strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance. Please consult your travel agent or Altura Tours for complete details.
Revisions: For changes made at the request of the traveler after reservations are confirmed, a $35 fee per transaction per person will be imposed. If documentation must be completely reissued, an additional $45 will be charged.Minimum booking: A minimum of 3 nights reservation is required. A $25 fee per person will be apply for bookings less than 3 nights.
Tour Rates Include: Airfare (where included). Hotel accommodations as specified in each program based on a room with twin beds. The cost per person is based on deluxe, first class, moderate or standard hotels. Triple room accommodations are by request only. Altura Tours Inc. reserves the right to substitute any hotel in same category. Some hotels are not air-conditioning. Transfers to and from airports, hotels, train stations and piers are included as specified in each program. Porterage of one normal size suitcase per person. Meals as indicated in each itinerary. All other meals are the passenger’s responsibility. All meals are based on table d’hote. Sightseeing by motorcoach, SIB (a seat in a bus) or private car, including services of multilingual guides and entrance fees according to itinerary selected. All other excursions are optional and are the responsibility of the passenger.
Rates Do Not Include: Airfare (unless specified otherwise). US and foreign departure taxes, passport and tourist cards, visas, inoculations, excess baggage charges, gratuities to local guides and tour managers, insurance, optional tours and items of personal nature such as telephone calls, soft and alcoholic beverages, etc. or any other item not mentioned as included.
Passports, Visas, Health: Passports, visas, tourist cards and inoculation certificates are the passenger’s responsibility. Please check visa and tourist card requirements before leaving the US; the same applies to health requirements in effect at the time of the tour. Altura Tours Inc. reserves the right to require a doctors written certification for any of its programs. Please consult your travel agent on all above at time of booking.
Preparation Costs: Planning, promotion and operation charges are included in all tour prices.
Luggage: Porterage of one normal suitcase per person is included in all tours.
Airline Baggage Regulation: Free baggage allowance is determined by each airline. The weight limit of 44lbs. (including carry-ons) may apply to flights outside the USA. Please contact each airline company on your itinerary for specifics. Excess luggage is the passenger’s responsibility. Altura Tours Inc. does not assume responsibility for loss or damage during the trip. Baggage insurance is available, please consult your travel agent or Altura Tours.
Airline Clause: The airlines concerned are not liable for any act, omission or event during the time passenger is not on board the aircraft. The passage contract in use by the airline, when issued, constitutes the sole agreement between it and the passenger. The services of any IATA/ARC member carriers or their affiliates may be used for the transportation of these tours. Neither Altura Tours Inc. nor the participating carriers assume any responsibility for errors or omissions in internet sites content and printing material. All airfares are subject to government approval and may change without notice.
Rates: Rates are per person based on double occupancy (2 passengers traveling together) and are quoted in US dollars. Rates are converted at international exchange rates applicable at time of printing. Rates are subject to change depending on the fluctuation of currencies and changes in tariffs. All rates, dates, inclusions and terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.
Responsibility: Altura Tours Inc. of Miami, Florida, its owners, employees and agents, act only in the capacity of agents for the passengers in all matters. All receipts, tickets, service vouchers, coupons or exchange orders are issued subject to the terms and conditions stated by the supplier. Altura Tours Inc. and/or its agents assume no responsibility whatsoever for loss, injury, accident or damage to person, property or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation, or other services resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, acts of terrorism and acts of government or other authorities de jure de facto, wars whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, dangers incident to the sea, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, delay or cancellations, weather, changes in itinerary, schedules, or from any cause beyond the company’s control and neither the affiliate companies shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses or liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of the foregoing causes, Altura Tours Inc. reserves the right to substitute hotels in similar or superior category and will reserve the right to alter or modify the places to be visited. Altura Tours Inc. acting as agent between the individual supplier and the passenger is not responsible, nor liable for defaults of those not directly under our control. Acceptance of any travel plan shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of this limitation of Liability.
