Preliminary Itinerary*


Day 1  Miami/Warsaw

             Depart on your transatlantic flight. Overnight and meals on board.


Day 2  Arrival Warsaw:

  • Your tour director is at the airport to warmly greet you and soon you’re comfortably settled at your hotel.
  • Check into the hotel for 2 nights.
  • If time permitting Mass at St. James Church, the church St. Faustina went when she arrived in Warsaw.
  • Dinner at the hotel.
  • Overnight at the hotel in Warsaw.


Day 3 Warsaw:

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • After breakfast visit St. Stanislaw Kostka church, where is the burial place of Blessed Fr. Popieluszko.
  • Than visit landmarks of Warsaw: Old Town, Market Square, the Barbican, the Warsaw Ghetto monument, Lazienki Park, the Chopin statue, and the magnificently restored Royal Castle (exterior visit)
  • Lunch on your own.
  • After lunch visit Lazienki Park, the Chopin statue and pass by the Palace on Water.
  • Visit and Mass at 3-9 Zytnia Street where Faustina entered the convent
  • Dinner at the hotel.
  • Overnight at the hotel in Warsaw.


Day 4 Warsaw – Niepokalanow – Czestochowa

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Morning drive to Niepokalanow to see a Franciscan Monastery founded by St. Maximillian Kolbe and home of Basilica of Virgin Mary
  • Continue on to Czestochowa which is the most popular pilgrimage site in Poland. Here we will visit the Jasna Gora Monastery where we will see the Treasury, the Knight’s Hall, the Refectory and the Basilica of the Holy Cross and the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. The highlight of our visit will be a viewing of the famous icon of the Black Madonna to which miraculous powers are attributed.
  • Lunch on your own
  • Afternoon visit and guided tour of the Shrine of Jasna Gora (entrance fee included)
  • Mass at the Jasna Gora Shrine
  • Check into your hotel
  • Dinner at the hotel.
  • Overnight at the hotel in Czestochowa.


Day 5  Czestochowa – Auschwitz – Wadowice – Wieliczka – Krakow

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Depart to Auschwitz for guided tour of the former concentration camp (entrance fee included)  including the cell of imprisoned St. Maximillian Kolbe and the Martyrdom Museum recalling the horrors of the Holocaust.
  • Continue on to Wadowice
  • Visit the birthplace of Pope John Paul II (entrance fee included) and his childhood home which is now a museum and the Church of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary where he was baptized.
  • Mass at a local church in Wadowice.
  • Lunch on your own
  • Afternoon visit Wieliczka to visit Europe’s oldest salt mine (entrance fee included) which has been listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The mines are a unique place where many generations of Polish miners have created a world of underground chambers and decorated chapels carved out of salt including the famous Chapel of St. Kinga.
  • Drive on to Krakow
  • Check into the hotel.
  • Dinner at the hotel
  • Overnight at the hotel in Krakow.


Day 6  Krakow and Divine Mercy

  • Breakfast at the Hotel.
  • Following breakfast, proceed to Wawel Hill to see Wawel Royal Castle (entrance fee not included) and visit the Cathedral (entrance fee included) which is one of the most beautiful renaissance residences in central Europe. Continue to Krakow’s Old Town to see the main Market Square, the Church of St. Mary (entrance fee included), Cloth Hall, City Hall Tower, Kanonicza Street where Pope John Paul II resided while living in Krakow and the Collegium Maius where he was a student.
  • Lunch on your own.
  • Afternoon we will visit the Divine Mercy Shrine in Lagiewniki, where Saint Faustina, the Apostle of Divine Mercy, lived and died. Enjoy a guided tour of the shrine.
  • Celebrate Mass at the Chapel at Divine Mercy Shrine.
  • Then a visit to the Center of the blessed PJP II, which contains some of the blessed father items and an ampoule, contains blood drops from the last medical exams.
  • Return to the hotel.
  • Dinner at the hotel
  • Overnight at the hotel in Krakow


Day 7 Krakow – Vienna

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Depart Krakow and drive to Vienna.
  • En route, we stop and visit Olomouc for a short walking tour and lunch on your own.
  • Celebrate  mass at local church in Olomouc.
  • Lunch on your own.
  • Continue on to Vienna.
  • Arrive to Vienna and check into the hotel.
  • Dinner at the hotel.
  • Overnight at the hotel in Vienna.


Day 8  Vienna

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Start the day with visit of Vienna to include a panoramic tour of the famous ring then a walk of the old town between the University and Opera house passing major monuments to include donners fountain, Belvedere Palace gardens, Hofburg palace and St Steven Basilica.
  • Lunch on your own
  • Than enjoy guided tour of Schonbrunn Palace (entrance fee included)
  • Balance of the day free at leisure on your own
  • Dinner at hotel.
  • Overnight at the hotel in Vienna


Day 9  Vienna – Budapest

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Depart Vienna for Budapest
  • Enroute stop at the only Benedictine Abbey in Hungary to celebrate mass and visit Pannonhalma Abbey, which was established in 996, and has been inhabited by monks for the past one thousand years. The Abbey was visited by the Holy Father and designated as the UNESCO World Heritage site (entrance fee included).
  • Celebrate Mass at Pannaholma Abbey church
  • Lunch on your own.
  • Continue on to Budapest
  • Arrive Budapest and enjoy tour of the city to  include the Gellert hill, Citadel, Mathias Church (entrance fee included), Fisherman’s Bastion (entrance fee included). Cross the Elizabeth Bridge, visiting of St. Steven Basilica, passing the parliament house. Visit Heroes Square and a drive through the Jewish quarter and Grand Market.
  • Dinner at the hotel.
  • Overnight at the hotel in Budapest



Day 10  Budapest

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • After breakfast depart hotel for Danube bend tour – The Danube Bend offers some of the country’s finest landscapes, where the river passes between the hills.
  • Visiting of Esztergom - the seat of the Archbishop of Esztergom, the primate of the Hungarian Catholic Church. St. Stephen (970?-1038), the first Hungarian king and founder of the country, was born in the castle erected here in around 970.
  • Celebrate Mass at the church in Esztergom
  • Continue on to Visegrád  from where  the Papal Nuncio, well used to pomp and chivalry, headed his letters ‘from Visegrád, a Paradise on Earth’ when he stayed as a guest and saw the breathtaking palace of the great Renaissance monarch, King Matthias (1458-1490).
  • Lunch on your own
  • Drive on to Szentendre – which with its winding lanes, seven aspiring church towers, colorful houses, narrow side streets, genuine Mediterranean ambience and scores of museums, galleries, guest houses and warm restaurants, is the most frequented tourist destination of the Danube Bend.
  • Enjoy the Danube cruise from Szentendre to Budapest (entrance fee included).
  • Farewell dinner at the local restaurant with gipsy Music
  • Overnight at the hotel in Budapest


Day 11  Budapest /Rome

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport
  • Flight to Rome
  • Panoramic tour of Rome
  • Dinner and overnight


Day 12 Rome/Miami

      Breakfast. Shuttle service from the Hotel to the airport. Flight to Miami.

Reservations and Payments: You can book your trip through your travel agent or at (800) 242-4122. Booking can be made online, by email, fax or regular mail. A deposit of $150 per person is required at the time of booking. Full and final payment is required no less than 45 days prior to tour departure. Bookings received less than 45 days prior to departure must be accompanied by full payment. Additional deposit conditions may apply for some special programs including airfares, special interest tours, cruises and group departures which will be advised at time of booking. Payment of a deposit and acceptance of any travel plan shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of all Terms and Conditions. Passenger(s) waive any charge back rights on credit card payments.

Cancellations: Full refund will be made for cancellations received up to 45 days before departure, except for a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations received within less than 45 days will be as follows: (days before departure) 44-22 days, (per person/per tour) 25%; 21-15 days, 35%; 14-7 days, 50%; 6-0 days, 100 %. No refund will be made for cancellations made once the tour or cruise starts, or for non-shows. Other conditions of cancellation may apply for some special programs such as adventure tours, cruises, or group departures which will be advised at time of booking. Above fees are in addition to airline ticket cancellation policies. Ask your travel agent for details. In addition to above cancellations and administrative fees, any charges assessed by the suppliers abroad will be deducted before refund is processed.

Land Refunds: All refund claims must be received by the booking agent in writing within 30 days after the completion of the tour. Requests received after that time will not be accepted. Refunds are made on the basis of actual cost of service not used and not on a per diem basis. Allow 4-6 weeks for refunds. Air refunds subject to the airlines own cancellation policy.

Passports and Visas: A valid passport is required of all passengers for travel to Europe and the Mediterranean. Depending on nationality, a visa may be required. Check with your local consulate for requirements. Passports and visas are the passengers’ responsibility.

Health requirements: Passengers should check with local consulates and health authority for latest health requirements. Check with your physician for recommendations.

Insurance: Altura Tours Inc. strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance. Please consult your travel agent or Altura Tours for complete details.

Revisions: For changes made at the request of the traveler after reservations are confirmed, a $35 fee per transaction per person will be imposed. If documentation must be completely reissued, an additional $45 will be charged.Minimum booking: A minimum of 3 nights reservation is required. A $25 fee per person will be apply for bookings less than 3 nights.

Tour Rates Include: Airfare (where included). Hotel accommodations as specified in each program based on a room with twin beds. The cost per person is based on deluxe, first class, moderate or standard hotels. Triple room accommodations are by request only. Altura Tours Inc. reserves the right to substitute any hotel in same category. Some hotels are not air-conditioning. Transfers to and from airports, hotels, train stations and piers are included as specified in each program. Porterage of one normal size suitcase per person. Meals as indicated in each itinerary. All other meals are the passenger’s responsibility. All meals are based on table d’hote. Sightseeing by motorcoach, SIB (a seat in a bus) or private car, including services of multilingual guides and entrance fees according to itinerary selected. All other excursions are optional and are the responsibility of the passenger.

Rates Do Not Include: Airfare (unless specified otherwise). US and foreign departure taxes, passport and tourist cards, visas, inoculations, excess baggage charges, gratuities to local guides and tour managers, insurance, optional tours and items of personal nature such as telephone calls, soft and alcoholic beverages, etc. or any other item not mentioned as included.

Passports, Visas, Health: Passports, visas, tourist cards and inoculation certificates are the passenger’s responsibility. Please check visa and tourist card requirements before leaving the US; the same applies to health requirements in effect at the time of the tour. Altura Tours Inc. reserves the right to require a doctors written certification for any of its programs. Please consult your travel agent on all above at time of booking.

Preparation Costs: Planning, promotion and operation charges are included in all tour prices.

Luggage: Porterage of one normal suitcase per person is included in all tours.

Airline Baggage Regulation: Free baggage allowance is determined by each airline. The weight limit of 44lbs. (including carry-ons) may apply to flights outside the USA. Please contact each airline company on your itinerary for specifics. Excess luggage is the passenger’s responsibility. Altura Tours Inc. does not assume responsibility for loss or damage during the trip. Baggage insurance is available, please consult your travel agent or Altura Tours.

Airline Clause: The airlines concerned are not liable for any act, omission or event during the time passenger is not on board the aircraft. The passage contract in use by the airline, when issued, constitutes the sole agreement between it and the passenger. The services of any IATA/ARC member carriers or their affiliates may be used for the transportation of these tours. Neither Altura Tours Inc. nor the participating carriers assume any responsibility for errors or omissions in internet sites content and printing material. All airfares are subject to government approval and may change without notice.

Rates: Rates are per person based on double occupancy (2 passengers traveling together) and are quoted in US dollars. Rates are converted at international exchange rates applicable at time of printing. Rates are subject to change depending on the fluctuation of currencies and changes in tariffs. All rates, dates, inclusions and terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.

Responsibility: Altura Tours Inc. of Miami, Florida, its owners, employees and agents, act only in the capacity of agents for the passengers in all matters. All receipts, tickets, service vouchers, coupons or exchange orders are issued subject to the terms and conditions stated by the supplier. Altura Tours Inc. and/or its agents assume no responsibility whatsoever for loss, injury, accident or damage to person, property or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation, or other services resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, acts of terrorism and acts of government or other authorities de jure de facto, wars whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, dangers incident to the sea, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, delay or cancellations, weather, changes in itinerary, schedules, or from any cause beyond the company’s control and neither the affiliate companies shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses or liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of the foregoing causes, Altura Tours Inc. reserves the right to substitute hotels in similar or superior category and will reserve the right to alter or modify the places to be visited. Altura Tours Inc. acting as agent between the individual supplier and the passenger is not responsible, nor liable for defaults of those not directly under our control. Acceptance of any travel plan shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of this limitation of Liability.
