Reservations and Payments
You can book your trip through your travel agent or at (800) 242-4122. Booking can be made online, by email, fax or regular mail. A deposit of $150 per person is required at the time of booking. Full and final payment is required no less than 45 days prior to tour departure. Bookings received less than 45 days prior to departure must be accompanied by full payment. Additional deposit conditions may apply for some special programs including airfares, special interest tours, cruises and group departures which will be advised at time of booking. Payment of a deposit and acceptance of any travel plan shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of all Terms and Conditions. Passenger(s) waive any charge back rights on credit card payments.
Full refund will be made for cancellations received up to 45 days before departure, except for a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations received within less than 45 days will be as follows: (days before departure) 44-22 days, (per person/per tour) 25%; 21-15 days, 35%; 14-7 days, 50%; 6-0 days, 100 %. No refund will be made for cancellations made once the tour or cruise starts, or for non-shows. Other conditions of cancellation may apply for some special programs such as adventure tours, cruises, or group departures which will be advised at time of booking. Above fees are in addition to airline ticket cancellation policies. Ask your travel agent for details. In addition to above cancellations and administrative fees, any charges assessed by the suppliers abroad will be deducted before refund is processed.
All refund claims must be received by the booking agent in writing within 30 days after the completion of the tour. Requests received after that time will not be accepted. Refunds are made on the basis of actual cost of service not used and not on a per diem basis. Allow 4-6 weeks for refunds. Air refunds subject to the airlines own cancellation policy.
Passports and Visas
A valid passport is required of all passengers for travel to Europe and the Mediterranean. Depending on nationality, a visa may be required. Check with your local consulate for requirements. Passports and visas are the passengers’ responsibility.
Passengers should check with local consulates and health authority for latest health requirements. Check with your physician for recommendations.
Altura Tours Inc. strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance. Please consult your travel agent or Altura Tours for complete details.
For changes made at the request of the traveler after reservations are confirmed, a $35 fee per transaction per person will be imposed. If documentation must be completely reissued, an additional $45 will be charged.
A minimum of 3 nights reservation is required. A $25 fee per person will be apply for bookings less than 3 nights.
Tour Rates Include
Airfare (where included). Hotel accommodations as specified in each program based on a room with twin beds. The cost per person is based on deluxe, first class, moderate or standard hotels. Triple room accommodations are by request only. Altura Tours Inc. reserves the right to substitute any hotel in same category. Some hotels are not air-conditioning. Transfers to and from airports, hotels, train stations and piers are included as specified in each program. Porterage of one normal size suitcase per person. Meals as indicated in each itinerary. All other meals are the passenger’s responsibility. All meals are based on table d’hote. Sightseeing by motorcoach, SIB (a seat in a bus) or private car, including services of multilingual guides and entrance fees according to itinerary selected. All other excursions are optional and are the responsibility of the passenger.
Rates Do Not Include
Airfare (unless specified otherwise). US and foreign departure taxes, passport and tourist cards, visas, inoculations, excess baggage charges, gratuities to local guides and tour managers, insurance, optional tours and items of personal nature such as telephone calls, soft and alcoholic beverages, etc. or any other item not mentioned as included.
Passports, Visas, Health
Passports, visas, tourist cards and inoculation certificates are the passenger’s responsibility. Please check visa and tourist card requirements before leaving the US; the same applies to health requirements in effect at the time of the tour. Altura Tours Inc. reserves the right to require a doctors written certification for any of its programs. Please consult your travel agent on all above at time of booking.
Planning, promotion and operation charges are included in all tour prices.
Porterage of one normal suitcase per person is included in all tours.
Airline Baggage Regulation
Free baggage allowance is determined by each airline. The weight limit of 44lbs. (including carry-ons) may apply to flights outside the USA. Please contact each airline company on your itinerary for specifics. Excess luggage is the passenger’s responsibility. Altura Tours Inc. does not assume responsibility for loss or damage during the trip. Baggage insurance is available, please consult your travel agent or Altura Tours.
The airlines concerned are not liable for any act, omission or event during the time passenger is not on board the aircraft. The passage contract in use by the airline, when issued, constitutes the sole agreement between it and the passenger. The services of any IATA/ARC member carriers or their affiliates may be used for the transportation of these tours. Neither Altura Tours Inc. nor the participating carriers assume any responsibility for errors or omissions in internet sites content and printing material. All airfares are subject to government approval and may change without notice.
Rates are per person based on double occupancy (2 passengers traveling together) and are quoted in US dollars. Rates are converted at international exchange rates applicable at time of printing. Rates are subject to change depending on the fluctuation of currencies and changes in tariffs. All rates, dates, inclusions and terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.
Altura Tours Inc. of Miami, Florida, its owners, employees and agents, act only in the capacity of agents for the passengers in all matters. All receipts, tickets, service vouchers, coupons or exchange orders are issued subject to the terms and conditions stated by the supplier. Altura Tours Inc. and/or its agents assume no responsibility whatsoever for loss, injury, accident or damage to person, property or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation, or other services resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, acts of terrorism and acts of government or other authorities de jure de facto, wars whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, dangers incident to the sea, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, delay or cancellations, weather, changes in itinerary, schedules, or from any cause beyond the company’s control and neither the affiliate companies shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses or liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of the foregoing causes, Altura Tours Inc. reserves the right to substitute hotels in similar or superior category and will reserve the right to alter or modify the places to be visited. Altura Tours Inc. acting as agent between the individual supplier and the passenger is not responsible, nor liable for defaults of those not directly under our control. Acceptance of any travel plan shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of this limitation of Liability.
